About Debbie Conway

Debbie Conway’s outstanding performance as our incumbent Clark County Recorder is just one her of many significant contributions to Southern Nevada. For more than 30 years, she has served as a selfless public servant, small business advocate, youth mentor and community volunteer.

Debbie was elected to her current post in 2007 and again in 2011 and 2015 and began building a list of over 200 major accomplishments that have transformed the Recorder’s Office into an award-winning operation and standard-bearer among its peers. She leads approximately 55 employees (which is down from initially 80 employees due to the implementation of cost cutting measures), and manages an operating budget of approximately $4 million along with a technical budget of approximately $7 million in an organization that serves more than 92-thousand callers and 66,000 walk-in customers while recording more than 1,000,000 documents a year. She was previously an adjunct instructor for the College of Southern Nevada School of Business - Charleston Campus.

A natural born leader, Debbie formerly served as the County’s Business Development Manager and implemented the Summer Business Institute high school mentorship program, which has provided hundreds of students with internships and scholarships. She produced and hosted the KCEP radio talk show Economic Empowerment Into the 21st Century.

Despite the heavy demands of her career, Debbie has always found time to volunteer in efforts that enrich the lives, work and businesses of Southern Nevadans. Her past and current board service includes:

In 2009, Debbie was a finalist for the Women of Distinction Awards in the category of Philanthropy, Community and Government Services. She is a graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2000 and has received numerous honors and awards including:

As Recorder, Debbie worked with the Clark County Assessor to form a collaborative partnership that resulted in 2009 awards from both NACO and NACRC for best practices in implementing the Q-Matic queue management system. Debbie recently transformed the recording industry by introducing a multi-purpose recording kiosk in Laughlin.

For Debbie, more than 200 major accomplishments are just the beginning. She has established a sizeable list of important new goals for the Recorder’s Office and is grateful for the Clark County voters who generously volunteer time on her campaign committee, make financial contributions and vote to Retain Debbie Conway for County Recorder to help make those goals a reality.
